Have you actually read any of the ELI5s? Or any of the hundreds of discussions where people are advised never to trust any service or client that does not give you your keys???
If you put blind faith in something, it WILL turn around and bite you, guaranteed. 🙁
So, anyway, if the blockchain says your wallet has the coins in it, then they're there. All you need is the keys to access them. Which Dough won't give up easily.
But there IS a way. /u/peoplma wrote it up a while ago. Search for it. Its non-trivial, but apparently works. Then when you have your keys, follow the advice in various ELI5s and ditch this rubbish client.
