I use to hold dogecoin the IOS app, using Doughwallet in my old iPhone, 2 years ago, I just read (I was disconnected of this world) that they shout down the app, 🙁 how can I recover the doges? I have the private key... Thanks!

Yeah, what /u/GoodShibe said (thanks mate, can’t cut and paste on this iPad <3).

Dough was always crap, and all clients have the potential to leave you in the lurch. The best way to avoid losses is to learn to manage your affairs yourself, and to look after your wallets by ensuring you can always read the keys with your own eyeballs. That way, in the absolute worst case, you can laboriously type them in if all else fails.

So yeah, use the recovery tool, then follow my advice.

Doughwallet used a non-standard implementation of bip39. If you have the mnemonic phrase, you'll probably need to use the recovery tool to obtain your private keys. It's available at https://www.doughwallet.net/

Use https://coinb.in/#settings to move coins. ELI5. Download both sites and run them offline.

Use https://bitinfocharts.com/dogecoin/ to check balances and transactions.
