Prelude: I am fairly new to crypto and admittedly and stupidly, I did not research all the horror stories users had with doughwallet before trying to use it. So, save the criticisms. I know I'm an idiot.
After reading everyone else's posts/problems, they seem similar to mine. It appears the first address doughwallet gives you does not end up connecting to your wallet, if that makes sense. I have tried syncing multiple times to no avail. And I know it was correct when I typed it into the exchange because I copied and pasted. I have used subsequent addresses to test and they have all worked. However the first one it gave me did not. That is unfortunate because it was a sizeable amount.
Is there any work around to this? I have read that there is a way to extract your private key. I read it and am not good enough with computers to pull it off. If anyone would like to try and do it for me, we can PM and I'll send you the 12 word phrase. If you can recover anything, up to you if you want to share it with me or not. I don't see any way I can ever recover what was lost so even if you just took it all for yourself, at least someone has it. And if all this is making no sense I can further explain.
Long story short, when coinbase added bitcoin cash, I had some from holding bitcoin on 8/1. I tried to convert that to dogecoin using changelly. Transaction was sent to the 1st address doughwallet assigned to me and it shows as complete on the blockchain, however it is not showing up in the wallet.
Any assistance would be appreciated!
